Sharing Our Roots (MN) is requesting donations for immigrants hit hard by the U.S. government’s immigration actions in Minnesota. As I hope you know by now, immigrants without criminal records are in hiding (not going to school, work, church, or shopping for food) because of ICE’s arrests of U.S. citizens, enrolled members of Native American nations, immigrants and refugees here with legal status, as well as those who entered the country illegally. Lina “Mama TshuTshu” Nyronge, Elkanah Abobo, and Antonio Alba Meraz from Sharing Our Roots are all Climate Land Leaders.
In addition, our colleagues at Institute for Ag and Trade Policy offer this list of ways to help immigrants in Minnesota meet basic needs.
Congratulations to Naima Dhore (MN), a Bush Fellow, who was featured in this article.
Wendy Johnson (IA) will be speaking at a Prairie Enthusiasts meeting, Jan. 24, in Red Wing, MN (see attached).
