Climate Land Leaders know our climate is changing rapidly and we need to do whatever we can to diversify the landscape with practices that provide diverse habitats, clean water and air, healthy soils, and climate resiliency.
Climate Land Leaders exchange knowledge, on-the-ground experiences, and encouragement as they tackle conservation goals each year and speak out for climate policy that helps plant, animal, and human communities thrive.

The Climate Land Leaders Initiative facilitates a peer network of primarily Midwest landowners and farmers who steward many types of farming operations – conventional row crops, organic row crops, perennial crops, fruits and vegetables, and grass-based livestock. They also restore and tend prairies, wetlands, and woodlands.
The Climate Land Leaders Initiative offers peer learning calls, synthesized and practical information about climate and conservation, financial support for soil testing and perennials, and nudges to help participants set conservation goals and stay on track. The Initiative also supports media coverage of conservation stories, encourages advocacy in state and federal climate policy, and invites land stewards to explore equity as part of their land legacy.
